02 — HOW WE WORK

We own the process. The network owns the machines.

Most suppliers sell you machine time. We sell you a conforming part — and we own every decision that gets it there.

The model, in full

Macreq is a precision contract manufacturer built on a simple division of responsibility. Everything that determines whether a part conforms — engineering, planning, procurement, programming, inspection and traceability — is done in-house by Macreq. Everything that is pure physical capacity — the machine and the operator running it — is provided by a qualified production partner working to our package, under our oversight.

That's what separates us from both the independent shop and the marketplace. The shop can't offer our engineering and quality depth. The marketplace won't take responsibility for the outcome. We do both.

THE MODEL AT A GLANCE

One accountable chain — the partner touches only the machining.

Every activity that decides whether a part conforms is ours. The partner supplies machine time and manpower only.

We quote from first principles

You send a drawing and specification. We plan the manufacturing route and build a cost from the ground up — material, cycle time, tooling, inspection — so the quote reflects how the part will actually be made. Faster and more disciplined than shop-by-shop bidding, and the price holds.

02 / ENGINEERING & PLANNING

We own the manufacturing package

Our team prepares the process plan, quality plan with key characteristics identified, fixture and tool design, raw-material specification and procurement, and CAM programming. Nothing is left to the partner's interpretation.

03 / PRODUCTION

Execution in the qualified network

We assign the job to a production partner qualified for the process, the material and the tolerance class. They supply machine time and skilled operators and run the job to our package. We remain accountable throughout.

04 / INSPECTION & RELEASE

Verified before it ships

In-process checks during the run, CMM final inspection at our facility, and a complete documentation set — inspection reports, material certificates, traceability records — before the part is released to you.

Why this is lower-risk for you

Qualifying a single small overseas shop is a gamble — one location, one set of machines, one point of failure, and a quality system you have to take on faith.

With Macreq you qualify one accountable manufacturer with a standardised quality system, and behind it sits redundant, scalable capacity. If a programme grows, we add qualified capacity without you re-qualifying a new supplier.
